KW DRIFT SERIES ROUND 2

FRANCE

The King is back

After a wonderful round 1 in Hungary, let's get back to Western Europe for round 2.  This french round 2 has seen the return of Paul Vlasblom, the King of Europe who missed the opening round.

The french drifters were there to show off, just a teaser, here is below 3 serious contenders for this round, David Roze and his Yellow Toyota Chaser, Sebastien Lepert with the white BMW M3 and Franck Lagalice driving a black german E30 M3.

But Chambley this week-end was a small part of the Netherlands as well with a lot of Dutch drifters registered.  One of the most beautiful cars is without a doubt the yellow M3 of Berend Van Berkel, a very experienced new comer who got ranked #1 after qualifications

All the drifters enjoyed a nigthly free practice session as well as the spectators

Then came the final Top16, the young french drift team was there and happy to show off their skills, Franck Lagalice below try to keep up with Paul Vlasblom in 1/4 finals.

French drifter Tony Jouin below with his Silvia S14 gave a hard time in "one more time" session to Kees Kok in 1/4 finals.

Marko Kok, the surprizing son of Kees Kok with the same "looking" car as his daddy, sent back home David Roze in 1/4 finals then Berend Van Berkel (below) in semi-finals, giving us an incredible final, Marko Kok the son versus Kees Kok the father....

In the other semi-final, Kees Kok took over Paul Vlasblom after a very rare error from Paul : a spin!  Anyway Paul took the 3rd place in the end.

Something to remember, the father versus the son in a final! Another son from the Kok family was there also, André Kok, a unique "drift family" in Europe where in the end, the father won!

In this last battle, the final, Kees Kok got the win and like we announced it in the round 1, Kees will be very hard to beat this year...
