photo-rounds_OLD_3Spain is a new country and a very good surprise, pictures will speak far better than words, an amazing track, something like Tsukuba (for those who know what Tsukuba is...) and a crazy weather.  But even if the drift is very new is Spain, the level is really building up fast.   You can expect something big in Spain about drifting in the following years...

The Alcaniz track is a new racing complex, mainly composed of 2 race tracks, 1 bigger of 5.3km not yet finished and this one of 2km in its biggest layout.   It is a very technical and tricky track which offered very hot battles....

About the qualification, it was a very good surprize to see Nikolett Szanto taking the #1 with her purple BMW E30 3.2, her drifting skills impressed the spanish and koe judges, we hope to see her  later in the afternoon doing that good in the twin drift.

Another serious contender in the KOE Series is Norbert Kovacic running the red & black E46 M3, Norbert, always there, always doing good, with #4 qualify ranking, once again we expect "Noro" to grab serious points for the championship.  Last but not least ranked #2, Luis Lopez and ranked #3 Alberto Canado, these 2 local drifters already show us we can expect some serious battles with the local drifters and that is very good.

After 2 blank years, Nicolas Heyer, King of Europe 2006, is coming back in the series step by step, drifting has made a huge jump in 2 years and it is very complicated for him to grab the good train again.  Anyway ranked #7 this time, he is improving round after round, unfortunately he was stopped during Top16 by a stupid spin....

Matt Zaitsev who attended serbian round was back with another crazy machine, after the R34 GTR, he was there with a 2JZ-powered S13.  After a first Top16 hard battle won against Benjamin Boulbi, he failed in 1/4 final against the surprizing Alberto Canedo.

Alberto Canedo and his raging E30 325i will go through the Top16 till semi-final were he will be stopped by the highly skilled Luis Lopez drifting the green silvia S13.   Luis ran amazing e-braking technique during all week-end with crazy first corner drifting.

On the other semi-final, Nikolett Szanto battled hard against Dan Adams, racing the beautiful blue M3 E36.  After twice "one more time", Niki gave up with a spin, opening the road to the final for Dan.

Before this final battle, Niki settled the 3rd place against Alberto Canedo.  Then here come the final battle for win, with no major mistake for Luis during the whole Top16, Luis Lopez took the win over Dan Adams.  This is the first win for Luis and we think not the last if we see him again in other rounds.
